Obituary for Jeffrey L. Breton

Jeffrey L.  Breton
Jeffrey L. Breton, 62, passed away at Maine Medical Center on October 9, 2017. He was born on July 2, 1955, in Augusta, Maine to Andrea Breton and Louise Parent.

He grew up in the Augusta area, graduating from Cony High School. He joined the Navy after high school and served in the Viet Nam War. After serving in the Navy he did seafood wholesaling for 20 years in Harpswell, worked on the DOT road crew, worked at Bath Iron Works and was a janitor at the Veterans Administration for over 20 years.

Jeff had an infectious laugh, a great sense of humor, was sarcastic, was very loyal and dedicated, and very loving to his family.

He was predeceased by his parents, and sisters, Linda Carey and Lynette Field.

He is survived by his wife Winifred “Jeannie” Breton of Harpswell, daughter, Ashly Breton and companion James Allen, Sr. of Harpswell, son Chad Breton and companion Nina Danish of Wiscasset, daughter, Marie Beckim of Harpswell, sisters, Patricia Gardner and companion Earl Leigh, Sr. of Washington, Gloria Markham and companion Gilbert Larochelle of West Gardiner, brother Dennis Breton and wife Joan of Springvale, grandchildren Shantel, Julian, Zachary, Shakira, Martell, Brayden, Sarah and Savannah, special niece Shelly Wilson of Harpswell, nephews Jason Field of Harpswell and Dana Field of Wiscasset, special “best” friends Ledo of Brunswick and Troy of Phippsburg, and faithful dog Tobey.

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Jeff’s life will be held on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at 1 p.m. at 474 West Washington Road, in Washington, Maine. A private family service will be held at the Veteran’s Cemetery in Augusta.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jeffrey’s name may be made to Patricia Gardner, 474 West Washington Road, Washington, Maine 04574 to help with costs.
