Obituary for Lillyanne Tibbetts Creamer

Lillyanne Tibbetts Creamer
Lillyanne Creamer, 87, a lifelong resident of Lincoln County, passed away peacefully at her granddaughter’s home in Jefferson on August 14, 2017. She was surrounded by those loved ones she cherished. Born in Newcastle July 29, 1930, she was the daughter of Samuel K. and Marguerite (Sporie) Tibbetts.

She attended Castner Grammar School in Damariscotta. She graduated from Lincoln Academy in 1947. After marrying her sweetheart Carl Creamer, they made their home in Waldoboro where they raised their three children, then later their granddaughter since the age of 5.

For almost 40 years she was a dedicated employee of GTE Sylvania in Waldoboro.

In most recent years she enjoyed spending her spare time with her grand/great-grandchildren. She worked hours in her garden raising beautiful flower beds. In addition, she enjoyed shopping, traveling, baking, reading and hosting holiday feasts for her family.

She was known by many for her unending generosity and caring for others. In many cases meant putting others before herself. She also volunteered at People to People for several years.

She was predeceased by her parents; her beloved husband of 57 years, Carl Creamer (2005), a daughter, Bonnie Creamer Cole (1977), sisters Helen T. Hall and Elizabeth Farrin; as well as a brother Samuel Robert Tibbetts. Lillyanne’s son Carl Craig Creamer passed away August 21, 2017.

She leaves her cherished granddaughter whom she raised, Angela L. Ripley, and her husband, Dana of Jefferson; son, Jeffery P. Creamer and his wife, Denise of Waldoboro, daughter-in-law Donna Creamer of Warren; seven other grand children; 14 great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.

A graveside service for family and friends will be held on September 16, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Brookland Cemetery in Waldoboro, Pastor Tom Rawley officiating. There will be a celebration of this amazing woman’s life hosted by her granddaughter.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to the Waldoboro Food Pantry at P.O. Box 692, Waldoboro, ME 04572. Food donations can be brought to their location at 251 Jefferson Street.

Hall’s of Waldoboro has care of the arrangements. To extend online condolences, visit her Book of Memories at www.hallfuneralhomes.com.
