Margaret "Margie" Harris, 97, of Cross Point Rd., Edgecomb, Maine, passed away at Mid-Coast Hospital in Brunswick, Maine, on the morning of May 15, 2017.

"Margie" was formerly of New Jersey and Massachusetts. She was well known for her needle crafts and embroidery. She had a love of elephants, and collected elephant items. She belonged to the Knox-Lincoln Cooperative Extension for 30 years.

She was predeceased by her husband, James Harris, and two sons; Douglas Newitt and Thomas Newitt.

"Margie" is survived by a niece Cheryl Murdock of Dunnellon, FL., as well one nephew and three nieces.
