Obituary for Sally Townsend (Benson)
Sally Mae Townsend, 78, of Waldoboro, Maine, passed away unexpectedly on January 18, 2017 at her home.
She was born in Presque Isle, Maine on August 8, 1938 to Walter R. Benson and Mary K. (Curless) Benson. Sally was a graduate of Shead High School in Eastport, Maine.
She was employed in the office for the Town of Wallingford in CT for many years. She loved quilting, antiques, bird watching and walks on the beach.
Sally was predeceased by her parents.
She is survived by her three children, Landa Townsend-Ng and her husband, Joseph of Charlotte, VT, Joseph Townsend and his wife, Patti of Meriden, CT and Lori Townsend of Waldoboro; three grandchildren, Kayleigh and Joseph Townsend and Jasmine Ng; one brother, William Benson of Rochester, NH and her, sister Bonnie Caron of Waterville, Maine and her beloved dog, Molly.
At the request of the family, services will be privately held.
