Howard A. Sukeforth, Jr., 54, died Friday January 25th at his home in Union. He was born August 1, 1958 in Appleton to Howard A. Sukeforth, Sr. and Stella Esancy Sukeforth. Howard grew up in Hope and graduated from Camden Rockport High School in the class of 1976.

He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force from 1977 to 1981. Howard was a Sargeant in the Air Force and was a Airframe Repair Specialist. He received the Air Force Good Conduct Medal. He moved to Union to be near his family. One of his fondest memories was taking a trip with his school buddy, Steve Bowman, from Tacoma, WA. back to Maine. He was predeceased by his parents and by his sister, Loretta Stinson.

He is survived by his sisters, Cynthia Billings and her husband James of Liberty
Barbara Ludwig and her husband Burton "Sonny” of Washington
Regina Kennard and her companion Arthur Silvia of MA
Rhoda Freeman and her husband Frank of FL
Gwendolyn Braley and her husband Karl of Georgia
Ruth Bowman and her husband of Donald of Washington
Brother-in-law, Walter Stinson,who was like a brother to Howard
Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and one great-great nephew
Close friend, Steve Bowman

Visiting hours will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday January 29th at the Hall Funeral Home,949 Main Street, Waldoboro. A service to celebrate Howard’s life will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday January 30th at the Hall Funeral Home in Waldoboro. Pastor Chad Colburn will officiate. Burial will be in the Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta with military honors.
