I met you when l was 15 and , boy, when I did, I wasn’t very happy about it. I let you know that too. After all, in my eyes, you were taking my mother away from me and forcing me to move from my hometown, leaving my family and friends behind . Looking back now, you listen to me with kindness and patience. You were a loving husband to Mom and had so many more titles during your lifetime, a father like figure to me, a brother,a friend, a mentor, grandfather, great grandfather, advice giver, the list is very very long. I wish now that I had told you more often how much I appreciated you for being you. I will do my best to make your famous lobster stew and blueberry muffins for the family.
