I met her at a family event last year for only an afternoon, but I remember her presence as joyful, helpful and caring. It was easy to see how those who knew her much longer than I, had a bountiful affection for her. I feel blessed to have seen Frances Gail Hutchings in an active happy place even if just for a few hours. I am sure she will be missed very much by those young and old who knew her for decades or even momentarliy as in my memory of a special afternoon.
