Obituary for Ronald P. Lufkin

Ronald P Lufkin, 77 passed away at the Sussman House. Born on August 3, 1944, to Irving Sr. & Evelyn (Hamilton) Lufkin.

In his teen years he started lobstering. Started out with a little skiff and 4 traps. Years later his dad joined him, buying a bigger fishing vessel for the two of them. After his fishing career ended, he started working for Crowe Rope in Warren.

Ron married Louise Meservey on October 21, 1979. Together they had daughter Amy.

Ron enjoyed tending his gardens, and puzzles. He served on the Warren Fire Department and was a 45 year member of the Warren Lodge of Odd Fellows.

Predeceased by his parents; his wife, Louise in 2020; Brother, Irving Jr; Brother-in-law, Elwin Mank.
Ron is survived by daughter Amy Wheelis her husband Robert, granddaughters, Beth & Amanda Wheelis; sister Carolyn Mank; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held in the spring for Louise and Ronald at the Leonard Cemetery in Warren.
